February 2, 2021 . . . Important COVID Vaccine UPDATE . . . “follow the bouncing ball”: New registration system and information implemented by Governor Justice. “ALL West Virginians over the age of 16 are encouraged to pre-register through the West Virginia COVID-19 Vaccine Registration System. Vaccine supplies are limited, so pre-registration does not mean immediate access to vaccination. Pre-registration offers West Virginians the opportunity to receive real-time updates on vaccine availability and schedule an appointment when available as vaccine supplies allow. The state’s driving principles for COVID-19 vaccinations are to build community immunity in West Virginia by protecting our most vulnerable, reducing deaths, reducing hospitalizations, and maintaining our critical services such as acute care. Note: You are encouraged to create an account in this system even if you have received a first dose of the vaccine or you are already on a waitlist through a local health department or healthcare provider.”  Read more and register here.  Calling the number provided is much easier. Wait times vary but don’t hang up if your 90th something in line; calls are handled fairly quick.

  • Thursday, Dec 31: 9am-4pm

2. Especially important for Condo Residents – Prevent Frozen Pipes: With the extreme cold temperatures expected this week/weekend, residents (owners/tenants) are advised to take precautions to prevent frozen pipes and water damage. Residents and owners may be held responsible for costly repairs and remediation. If you see signs of frozen pipes or any leaks, please call the office to inform us at 304-598-5815 immediately.

  • If you’re leaving town (or your unit for any length of time), set your thermostats to: 1) On,  2) Heat, 3) and set the temperature at or above 68 degrees. DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR ELECTRIC or the thermostats!
  • Make sure you do NOT have the Air Conditioner on!!!
  • Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow for air flow. Trapping cold air inside plumbing cabinets can lead to pipes freezing.
  • Leave the sink spigot (faucet) on a slight/slow trickle to keep the water moving through the pipes. Make sure there is nothing in the sink that may cause the sink to overflow.

Dec 23 -25 . . . Merry Christmas Wishes, Suncrest Village Owners and Residents. May you enjoy the simple blessings that matter most at Christmas and throughout the year.

Vehicles that are parked on the roads will be towed at the owner’s expense.  Landlords and property managers: please make your tenants aware of this notice. Again, if your car is parked on the road, it will be towed without notice and at your own expense!

and

Please remember to turn off all tree and holiday lights as well as any other decorative lights (inside or out) when leaving your unit. If you are leaving for an extended period of time, do NOT turn off your electric!  And, please read our post from Dec 6 (below) about your thermostats.

  1. If you are leaving for any length of time, please be sure your thermostat is set at or above our recommended temperature of 68 degrees.

  3. Leave the sink spigot on a slight/slow drip to keep the water moving. Make sure there is nothing in the sink that may cause the sink to overflow.

PARKING: (Townhomes) There is to be absolutely NO parking in the roadways. Make sure all tires are off the roadways completely and do not allow any part of the vehicle to stick out into the roadway causing any kind of obstruction to the traffic flow.
