    • Attention Townhome Owners: The Annual Meeting for the Suncrest Village Townhome  Association (SVTA) will be held in the clubhouse Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022 at 6:30pm.

  • Holiday Hours: In observance of Thanksgiving, our office will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24. Mail pickup service at our office will NOT be available on Thursday. We will be open for mail pickup only from 9am-4pm on Friday, Nov. 25 and noon- 4pm on Saturday, Nov. 26. Best wishes for a happy day of thanksgiving with your family and friends from your extended family at the HOA office!
  • Holiday Travel Plans-Vacant Condo Units: Attention Condo Owners/Resident, if you are leaving town for the holiday week, or if your unit will be vacant during the winter months, please follow this link to an Advisory regarding vacant units during cold weather from our Board of Directors. Check the weather forecast and leave your HEAT on and set the thermostat to at least 64 degrees.
  • Pet Owners: We have had too many complaints today (and regularly) regarding irresponsible pet owners (in the townhomes) who are NOT using the pet waste bags and receptacles. Please be considerate! Pick up your dog’s waste and place it in the nearest receptacle. Review our pet policies at https://suncrestvillage.net/faq/. Pet owners who violate our community rules and policies will be fined.
  • Annual Meeting-Attention Condo Owners: The Annual Meeting for the Suncrest Village Condominium Association (SVCA) will be held in the clubhouse next Tuesday (Nov. 29, 2022) at 6:30pm. If you are unable to attend the meeting, and wish to join us by Zoom, contact Holli (304-598-5815) before noon on Nov. 29 and watch for an email with a link to the meeting shortly before 6:30pm. What is covered at the Annual Meeting? HOA members will learn about the upcoming budget for 2023 and discuss current matters that pertain to the SVCA. A list of the HOA Board nominees and a link to cast votes was sent to members via email. The voting period opened yesterday and will close on Nov. 28. New BOD members will be introduced at the Annual Meeting. Please check your inbox for two emails from our office containing details and attachments (budget overview, a ballot and a proxy form). Members who are not able to join us may appoint someone as their Proxy by completing and submitting the Proxy form before 5pm on Nov. 29. We’re counting on your participation and help in managing our community. Cast your votes for new BOD members (online). Zoom in or attend the meeting.   • Suncrest Village Condominium Association (SCVCA): The next BOD meeting for the SCVCA will be held today (Tuesday, Nov. 15) at 4:30pm. This meeting will be held in the clubhouse and via Zoom. If you requested to join the meeting via Zoom, please watch for an email with the meeting link from our office shortly before 4:30. Please let us know if you are not receiving our emails.
  • Suncrest Village Townhome Association (SVTA): The final quarterly HOA meeting of 2022 for the Suncrest Village Townhome Association (SVTA) will be held at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Nov. 16) in the clubhouse. The annual SVTA meeting will be held in December. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
    • Recruiting New HOA Board Members: Beginning in January 2023, there will be three vacancies on the SVTA Board of Directors (BOD). Only SVTA members (property owners) are eligible to serve on the BOD. The SVTA meets quarterly and holds an annual meeting in December.

  • Honoring Veterans: Whether you are working or enjoying a day off, take time to honor our military veterans, who have served in the United States Armed Forces for our safety, well-being and freedom!
  • Upcoming HOA Meetings:
    • Suncrest Village Condominium Association (SCVCA): The next BOD meeting for the SCVCA will be held next Tuesday (Nov. 15) at 4:30pm. This meeting will be held in the clubhouse and via Zoom. If you would like to attend via Zoom, please contact Holli or call the office by 5pm, Monday, Nov. 14 and watch for an email inviting you to join the meeting on Tuesday. 
    • Suncrest Village Townhome Association (SVTA): The final quarterly HOA meeting of 2022 for the Suncrest Village Townhome Association (SVTA) will be held at 6:30 p.m. next Wednesday (Nov. 16) in the clubhouse. The annual SVTA meeting will be held in December. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

  • Homeowner’s Insurance:  Homeowners at Suncrest Village are required to provide our HOA office with a current proof of insurance document. If you haven’t included your Suncrest Village HOA as an “Additional Interest“, see the “Recommendations for condo homeowners here and townhome owners here. Homeowners who are out of compliance with our proof of insurance requirements are subject to being fined. If you are not sure of your status, please contact us today.

  • Attention Condo Owners – Condo Garages – Storage Restrictions: Nothing is to be stored in areas considered to be Common Elements (such as garage parking spaces) and/or Limited Common Elements (such as decks). Only vehicles, bicycles, and personal carts are permitted in your garage parking spots. Nothing else may be temporarily or permanently stored in the garage spaces or on decks. If you have anything in your garage parking space, please watch for an email or phone call from our office asking you to remove the items. For more information about Common and Limited Common Elements, see: Article X, item 10.14 in the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions.  Thank you.
  • Cold Weather – Prevent Frozen Pipes and Damage: Beginning this Saturday, overnight temperatures are expected to be at or below freezing throughout next week. If you are planning to be away from your condo, check your thermostat setting (turn on the HEAT and set the thermostat to at least 62 degrees) to prevent anything from freezing. If your unit is vacant, please review this advisory from our Board of Directors.
  • Exterior Holiday Decorations: We’ve noticed a few residents have started decorating their decks for the holidays. Please remember that holiday lights and decorations must be removed no later than ten (10) days after the given holiday.

  • Compactor – Scheduled Dumpster Transfer for Thursday: The dumpster will be removed for its regularly scheduled transfer away from Suncrest Village on Monday (Nov. 7) morning. Please plan to NOT use the compactor on Monday until after noon. As always, no trash may be left on the ground outside the compactor. REMINDER: furniture is NOT allowed in the compactor, anywhere around the Refuse Area, or throughout our community! Violators will be fined. For more information, follow this link. Thank you.

  • Football Weekend: As you gather with family and friends to enjoy WVU’s homecoming game this weekend, please be mindful of our community rules. You’ll find our most “Repeated Reminders” for Condos here  and Townhomes here.  Noise levels need to be kept at a minimum – especially after 10 pm. Please be safe, responsible and respectful to your neighbors.
  • 2800 Building – Roofing Project Completed: The new roof installation project on the 2800 building is now completed. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during the project. Please continue to watch for nails around the area.

  • 2800 Building Roofing Project Update: After 7pm this evening, residents may park in the 2800 building garage; however, parking in front of the building is still restricted until we remove the construction/saw horses and caution tape. Weather permitting, the project should be completed this Thursday (Oct. 27) afternoon. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Please use caution around the 2800 building and watch for nails around the area.
  • Attention Smokers: We have received several complaints about cigarette butts found in the grassy areas throughout the community. This is aesthetically unpleasant and it is a safety risk with dried leaves covering the ground. Residents are asked to responsibly discard of their cigarette butts. Please be respectful of our community and the safety of others.

  • Pet Leash Community Rules/County Law and Pet Waste:  Suncrest Village residents are reminded that dogs must be on a leash. Not only is this a community rule, it also a Monongalia County Ordinance (law). If you see a dog outside without a leash, please contact our office and the Animal Control office of Monongalia County. Pet owners also should be aware of additional responsibilities by the State of West Virginia concerning pets.

  • Attention Unit Owners/Residents – Condo Building 2800 – Roof Replacement: The roof replacement project at the 2800 building is underway and will continue through Tuesday evening (Oct. 25). Adverse weather could extend the estimated project completion date. Parking in front of the 2800 building is NOT available during the project. Alternate parking is available behind the 2700 building and at the overflow area across from the 2700 building – next to the 2400 building. Please use caution around the 2800 building and watch for nails around the area. For updates, please check back here and via email. If your vehicle is not registered with our office and it is parked in front of the building, it could be towed at your expense. Please contact our office to provide any updates for your contact and vehicle information. Owners/Property Managers: share this information with your tenants. Check for an email from our office. Thank you for your cooperation and patience during this improvement project.

Our HOA office management and staff members use email as the primary means to communicate with owners. Please check your emails at least once a week for potential messages from our office. Vehicles that are not registered with our office, and which may need to be moved for emergency purposes, may be subject to being towed at the vehicle owner’s expense.  Please register your vehicles and provide updated contact information. Update/Correction for Annual Fire Alarm Test – Condo Buildings 2700 and 2800: The annual fire alarm pull-station tests will take place in the 2700 and 2800 buildings on Monday, Oct 17. Our apologies for posting the incorrect date in recent posts, which have now been updated. Residents will hear fire alarms in both buildings during the tests and should not be alarmed.   • Entrance Gates Closing at Noon: Please be advised that we will close the entrance gates at noon this Thursday (Oct 13). If you are expecting deliveries or guests, please review FAQ #1 to learn how to let them in the gate.
  • Condo Owners/Residents – Annual Fire Alarm Test: Today is the last day for the fire alarm pull-station tests this week. Tests in the 2700 and 2800 buildings will be conducted next week, which will conclude the annual task. Thanks for your cooperation.

  • Reminder – Fourth Quarter HOA Dues – Condos: The deadline for fourth quarterly condo dues was Oct 1. Late fees are now in effect.  Use your square footage and elevator status to determine your HOA dues and contact the office for the current amount you now owe. 
  • Condo Owners/Residents – Annual Fire Alarm Test: Please check your emails and reply to an important message or call our office regarding your fire alarm pull-station test. Tests are being conducted from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. today and will continue over the next two weeks in condominium units. The building/unit schedule is included in the email message sent to owners/landlords. Owners and residents are asked to grant permission for our contractor to enter and test the fire alarm pull-station in the condo doorway. Residents will hear fire alarms during the tests.
  • Cooler Weather – Leaving Town – Check Your ThermostatsColder evening temperatures are expected this weekend and into next week. If you are planning to be away from your condo during cold weather, check your thermostat setting (turn on the HEAT and set the thermostat to at least 62 degrees) to prevent anything from freezing. Water damage from frozen pipes in your unit may cause damage to property owned by others and you will be responsible for repairs to both.

Painting will begin at approximately 9am at the following buildings: 1300, 1600, 1800, 2100*, 2200, 2300, 2400, 2700 and 2800. Please do NOT park in the handicap spaces on Friday. If you see that your buildings handicap space has already been painted, it should be okay to park there. If it does not appear to be painted yet, please refrain from using the space until the project is done. *In addition to re-painting, we are adding an additional handicap parking space at the 2100 building. Please do NOT park in the current handicap parking space at this building and in the parking space on the other side of the sidewalk entrance – closest to the building’s front entrance.

  • Reminder – Fourth Quarter HOA Dues – Condos: Tomorrow is the last day before a late penalty will be issued for fourth quarterly condo dues. Use your square footage and elevator status to determine the amount you owe here.  If you are not sure of your unit’s square footage, please call the office.
  • Food Truck Thursday: As of 11:30 a.m. today, we do not have a food truck scheduled this week. If you have any recommendations for new food vendors, please contact our office.  Check back Thursday for potential updates.
  • Pet Policies – Violations: We have received several complaints about used dog waste bags being left at the garage entrance of condo building 2500 – within feet of the receptacle! Not only is this inconsiderate and irresponsible of the pet owner, it violates our community pet policy. There are at least 10 pet waste receptacles throughout the community and the bags are included. If you see something, say something. Your name or contact information will not be shared.
